I am a mathematician and researcher with a background spanning applied mathematics, mathematical analysis, scientific computing, and machine learning.
I received my MSc in Pure Mathematics from the University of Novi Sad in 2016 and my PhD in Mathematical Engineering from Ghent University in 2023. I subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher and teaching assistant at Ghent University, where I was a member of the Clifford Research Group.
My research interests include partial and fractional differential equations, viscoelastic wave propagation, Clifford and hypercomplex analysis, numerical methods, and model-aware machine learning. In recent years, my work has increasingly focused on the intersection of mathematical modelling and artificial intelligence, particularly interpretable, weakly supervised, and physics-informed methods for medical imaging.
During my academic career, I worked on topics including fractional wave equations, sparse and dictionary-based representations, geometric and hypercomplex methods, PET lesion segmentation, and CT-to-ultrasound synthesis. A common thread throughout my work has been the combination of rigorous mathematical modelling with numerical computation and data-driven methods.
Alongside research, I have extensive teaching experience in complex analysis, functional analysis, mathematical analysis, probability and statistics, artificial intelligence, approximation methods, and related subjects at Ghent University.
After ten years in academia, I transitioned to industry in 2026. I remain strongly interested in applied mathematics, scientific computing, machine learning, and mathematically grounded modelling, and this website serves as an archive of my academic work, research, publications, teaching, and related activities.
